We all pee. Some of us stand up to do it, some of us sit down to do it, and we all have a variety of reasons for wishing to do it one way or another. Often, our only public bathroom options are gender segregated and short on privacy (with mens bathrooms notoriously so). Furthermore, in the last few years, bathrooms have become a political football, with access for gender nonconforming folk (however we identify) becoming subject to high-profile legislative attack. How do we deal with bathrooms? Is standing to pee important for you personally? As a safety measure? As a practical one?

In this workshop, we will discuss pissing as it relates to our experiences of gender (formative, current, and future) as well as show & tell a range of STP (stand to pee) devices. If you have devices or hand mirrors, please bring them. If you'd like to try some new devices, please come - there will be some you can practice with, with cleanings in between.

This workshop will be held at Brave Space Alliance, a space for trans folk newly housed at 1434 W. 51st St. on Monday, October 16 at 7pm.
